Industry: a circular economy model

 industry exhibition - Room 1

Big Dimple

At four metres in diameter this large timber sculpture is suspended and tensioned with a large rubber rope. Made from segments that assemble and disassemble using a sliding dovetail.

 Bowls on pulp bricks

The brick pattern technique used to make these bowls allows for more control over the amount of timber used reducing waste.

The waste from this process was collected and pressed into the bricks that make the plinth.

 Wall Dimples

A collection of small-scale functional sculptures made entirely from recycled waste. They are crafted from timber off-cuts and discarded tyre inner tubes.

The waste from this processes was collected and moulded into different shapes testing the moulding capabilities of the material.
